I worked at MedImpact full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

SOME of the people are knowledgeable and fun to be around. Not a lot of work if you’re smart. So your day to day work life balance is manageable.

    Cons

The benefits are horrible. I’m really surprised to see that as some PROS on the reviews. My guess is that feedback is from those who have been there too long and don’t realize most companies in and out of the industry provide much better benefit packages. The CEO is a crook. Bonuses were withheld from employees this year even though we were hitting goal. No communication provided when we did not receive and when challenged...

    Advice to Management

Management for: Configuration Services, Implementation, and some IT are horrible to work with. It is black and white. They are not required to follow the rules while being the first to point out faults on individual from their own team and outside of it, and don’t provide support or “leadership” until the ship is already sinking. Treat team members as equals, and with respect, instead of like slaves, minions, secretaries....

    Pros

    Decent pay and flexible schedule

    Cons

Bad culture, no one wants to help other than bare minimum

    Advice to Management

Promote from within and change culture back to investing in employees. Ie fun activities, food at all hands. Make people want to come to work

    Pros

The people work hard and have can-do attitudes.

    Cons

No one is encouraged to think about what they are doing and try to make it better. The leadership team is completely disconnected

I worked at MedImpact full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you are looking to build a career in PBM then this is a good place to get the experience.

    Cons

Unskilled and unprofessional management abound in this organization. From top to middle management they are heavily focused on looking and living the pseudo-life of corporate execs which is fed by a large bonus structure, Cuts of workforce are imminent if they see that their bonuses are not within reach. This has happened time and time again over the years and that is why there are very few who truly know their business...

I have been working at MedImpact full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The salary, the salary, and the salary. People take jobs here and stay here because leaving means, in most cases, a paycut. Despite people talking up how hard they're working in Costanza-fashion, employees rolling in late and skating out early is not uncommon. Benefits have gone from mediocre to good over the years--an inverse trend. As with any bad company, there are some solid worker-bees here. Nice building also,...

    Cons

Working at MedImpact means giving up your soul along with any hope of job satisfaction whatsoever. You're basically whoring yourself out for the money. The company just can't seem to hire competent managers on any level. Every few years they fire everyone in management and start over, and each time the new regime is as bad or worse than the last. If you're passionate about your work this is about the worst place imaginable...

    Advice to Management

MedImpact's reputation on the street is so baked-in there's probably nothing that can be done at this point (not that there's ever been a real show of desire to improve things). Quality management candidates pass on MedImpact, despite the pay, as routine.

    Advice to Management

Management at this company doesnt want feedback, they have never asked for it or embraced it. They remove positions and people without regard to the ramifications on the company. I think they plan to run the company into the ground, sell it . Might not be a bad idea anymore
