I have been working at MedSeek full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great products and vision, great locations in Birmingham, Atlanta and Madison and great people - truly making a difference in healthcare

    Cons

Better coordination between product teams, and less "legacy" products would be helpful in supporting clients across the groups required to deliver and support clients.

I worked at MedSeek full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great team, work from home

    Cons

Management top heavy, management that changes & doesn't understand (nor apparently cares to) the proper tools employees need to effectively do their job. Constantly doing a "shell game" with team members & products.

    Advice to Management

A name change doesn't change the basics of a poorly run company. Maybe get rid of a few VP's & other mangers who really don't do crap except take up space & salaries that could be better used to boost employee morale by giving a raise of more than a few dollars.

    I worked at MedSeek full-time

    Pros

Unlimited time off, good pay, and good people in the offices that actually do the mountains of work. The CEO has a great vision.

    Cons

I was forced to sign a non-disclosure document so I wouldn't tell anyone how much of a mess things are.

The whole platform the company sells itself on is a scam. Multiple faults in data storage and utilization across all platforms. Information presented to clients is often completely made up so the company doesn't look bad. Be ready to throw your integrity out the window due to being "urged" by leadership NOT to tell clients something is not working.

The company doesn't value it's employees and has no problem killing them off to make the next release. In my multi-year tenure there, myself and others were repeatedly screwed over with false promises and carrots dangled that never happened. Leadership works in entirely different cities (or even different states) and makes decisions based on lies form others; constantly promoting idiots that have no clue how the work is actually done.

The best thing I did was get out!!

    Advice to Management

Value your people. Let them tell the truth. Be honest, and quit surprising your most valuable asset with blindsiding poor decisions. Come up with some form of a development track so your employees have actual goals to reach instead of blindly flailing while just trying to stay afloat.

I worked at MedSeek full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits, good people and unlimited time-off.

    Cons

While the culture is great and things seem great, at some point, the tide will turn. No matter how well you have performed and what contributions you have made to meet goals and deadline, if you do not fit into the ever-changing vision of the company, you are expendable. I have seen good people come and go in a very short period of time.

    Advice to Management

Have a clearer vision and stick to the plan!

    Pros

Health care product can have a great impact on the common person health care. Products have the capability of that impact.

    Cons

Executive management cares only about the sale. Middle Management is inept on how to deliver quality software. Quality of the products are sub par and well below world class. If you like poor quality and eat free snacks this is the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Resign! Board members please look a the executives and middle managers on the payroll, they aren't the best! They aren't even middle of the road!

I have been working at MedSeek full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of good, smart, hardworking people that work there. But are leaving so they no longer have to be tortured with horrible products.
Excellent location in the Galleria Tower.
    Cheap snacks and drinks.
Really good pay for most positions, especially if you are in with the right people.

    Cons

This used to be a great company, but has gone downhill drastically over the last 4 years.

Have a large number of useless Upper Management, need to clean house of these people and use their salaries to hire real workers to try to improve the products.

The product lines are a joke, there have been so many chances to make the products great but whoever makes a suggestion to make them better is usually run off or fired. Especially since there are NO processes built around delivery or development.

There is no accountability for doing a poor job or in some cases not even doing your job. However good hardworking employees are leaving in multiples due to workload, long hours and no help from Management other than standing over your shoulder asking what took so long. When you explain the numerous issues with the product they just say get it working and don't do anything to fix the root of the issue.

Sales team has no clue as to what the products can or cannot do and therefore lie to clients in order to get them to sign contracts and then everyone else after the sale is stuck cleaning up the mess created by sales team..

Unless you are in with the right people you are essentially overlooked and ignored on everything.

Upper Management pretends to want to have client and employee feedback but no one in an office really cares or pays attention to what is said by either.

Upper Management change the names of the products and the company (formerly Medseek) in hopes that no one notices how bad things really are. Be sure to look up Medseek cause nothing has changed except for the name of the company.

Benefits are descent but horribly expensive and they try to say great news our insurance is not going up this year. Well that is a good thing because I can barely afford it as it is.

Morale is very low amongst employees as most are now burned out and just doing what they have to just to hold on to their jobs until the next round of lay offs or until they can find something else.

    Advice to Management

Not sure it will do any good cause they won't listen to this but here goes:
STOP letting sales lie to clients just to get the contract signed. Hold people accountable for the work they don't do. If you want to boost morale fix the products themselves and make them easier to implement and easier to work with and you will see morale improve. If you don't care what people are saying then quit asking them. NPS Scores are in the tank and the clients tell you what is wrong but you still won't fix the root of the problem, the employees tell you what is wrong and even offer ways to make it better and you tell us to not focus on that right now just get the client live so we can start billing them. You need to either come out of your office and actually LISTEN for once or you need to just go away and let people who really want to make our products better and our clients happy do what we have to do.

    Pros

Direct co-workers were fantastic and extremely helpful. Team was very close-knit.

    Cons

All the Management, sales selling underdeveloped products, terrible benefits. Management not adhering to their own practices and policies and/or outright ignoring potential problems although alerted by staff. Too many VP's and Senior VP's. Horrible pay.

    Advice to Management

Stop counting beans, treat clients with respect to their needs, not how much the contract will further line your already overly fat pockets.

    Pros

Good pay, cool technology, and worthwhile business problems.

    Cons

The're constantly switching strategy, resulting in alternating layoffs and hiring spurts, often multiple times a year. This resulted in losing great people and lowering morale.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating people like rows in a spreadsheet and learn how to harness the great talent you have.
