I have been working at MedStar Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent place to grow. The benefits are good and you have the ability to transfer from one job to another anywhere in the 10 hospital system and your time goes with you.

    Cons

Time off peaks at 5 years. Luckily it’s very generous.

I worked at MedStar Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are no pros in slavery!

    Cons

I worked there for almost 4 years. The only happy people there are the managers. They make pretty great money. When I left, my new job paid me $4.5 more per hour then MedStar.
    Now you be the judge!

    Advice to Management

Don’t still your employees idea and use it like your own, just to get another bonus!

    Pros

They do not micromanage, but keep you in compliance with regulations. Great people. Open to suggestions to improve patient care.

    Cons

You must negotiate your salary. Bonuses are not based on hard work alone. As the nature of large corporations, things can move slowly.

I worked at MedStar Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They provided s wealth of education.

    Cons

The supervisors and managers changed protocol without written notification at a whim to benefit statistics instead of Nursing staff. Not all Nursing Staff has the ability to attend the certification classes. The managers generally allow those they favor most to attend.

    Advice to Management

Work more to benefit the Nursing staff that need assistance .
