I worked at Medac full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone becomes like family, company outings, nice folks...
Upper management is touch with everyone - not a lot of politics
    Good pay
    Good benefits

    Cons

Stress (I worked In AR - don't like making collections calls)

    Advice to Management

If you still do it like you did a decade ago, keep it up!

I have been working at Medac full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Very flexible.
Not unwilling to embrace change, but also changes very slowly.
Great potential for growth, both as an employee and for the company.

    Cons

    Still back in the 90's.
The company is working hard at modernizing, but is plagued by decades of technical stagnation.
Management's vision of the company gets muddled on it's way down to lower level employees.
Very reactionary to the market, rather than innovative.

    Advice to Management

Find a unified vision that will allow the company to get out ahead of the market, and position itself as an unrivaled leader instead of just reacting to the latest trends.
Communicate your plans and strategies to the company more often.

I worked at Medac full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I enjoyed the people I work with. I also liked solving problems that no one else could figure out.

    Cons

Upper management never lasting more than a few years. At times things could feel like a revolving door.

    Advice to Management

Take your time to hire key people and invest in them. Sometimes you may get 75% of what you need and you will have to help develop the other 25%. Invest in your people.

I have been working at Medac full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I don't have many pros besides the schedule, and the advancement opportunities.

    Cons

Management isn't professional, they are just old reps with no proper training. Pay is low for the amount of work required, robotic like work makes it hard to have a since of pride about your job.

    Advice to Management

    Give leadership training, it's needed.

I have been working at Medac full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Most people "everyday worker bees" are extremely easy to get along with and easy to work with. Very considerate to managers with families by allowing the to take time off (without pay, vacation or make up time) for school functions etc. Lots of long time employees

    Cons

Do more for the clients they service then the employees that work hard to keep those clients satisfied. To many managers, directors etc. High priority on sending jobs overseas when they can be offering them locally for the same pay to work with option to work from home as contractors instead of terminating employees they already have and still keep down overhead cost

    Advice to Management

reward the ones that work hard for you its not always the ones that hear from all the time most of them are very low key you may not even know their names

    I worked at Medac full-time

    Pros

Good people. Able to work on cutting edge software. Good work/life balance. Very much had a family-like atmosphere.

    Cons

The healthcare benefits were too expensive. There was a lot of turnover in the Senior Management group.

    Advice to Management

Continue to develop your people. Look for the best people in the business. If that happens to be an internal candidate, great, but don't settle if it's not.
