    Pros

Medco Health was a high flyer in the Pharmacy Benefits space... leadership, innovation, really smart employees...

    Cons

Leadership sold the company, once Express Scripts took over, it became a very different company, with bottom line priorities.

    Pros

Very large company. Vacation time was 1 week your first year. You also had 8 rolling PTO days for each year. Medical benefits were very good no co pay or very little. Stock options after 1 year also. Pharmacists were super friendly. Management seemed to really have a concern for your well being. Employee longevity after 1 year. People seem to stay for 10 and 15 years or more.

    Cons

Very corporate structure. If you lack on any policy or procedure there are consequences, understandably. Pay scale is very slow to rise. Some of the people can be very gossipy. I feel its because they or ok with people holding the same position in the company for 10 years or more.

    Advice to Management

I really don't have any advice. Upper management gets a little caught up in the corporate entanglement, but middle and lower management just want too see that you are working and if you have potential to do better they will suggest you do.

I worked at Medco Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Starting salary was $13/hour. Many opportunities for advancement. Ability to work from home. Supervisors were approachable. Upper management was accessible and cared about associates.

    Cons

Long interview process, multiple interviews over several days. Lack of consistency and nowhere to find answers to some questions. Some stress over sending the wrong medication to customers, this is a big deal. Although the starting pay was high, after first review at the end of the year, we only received a .20¢ pay raise for the next year. The training ended at 5pm so we got caught in rush hour on the way home.

    Advice to Management

Shorten the interview process and create an employee development plan.
