Great pay that can be negotiated, unlimited overtime, great coworkers who can relate to any troubles/hardships, great schedule
Cons
not guaranteed a home unit and have to get floated to ER and different parts of the hospital with no help or previous knowledge of assignments, limited protection when sitting 1:1 on other units due to improper communication lines with other staff, other shifts can be late causing to clock out late, management hosts meetings for feedback but don't take into consideration, high turn over rate, you may be scheduled for a unit all day and then 30 minutes before clocking in you'll be in a different place

Great Co-Workers
Jan 14, 2023 - Behavioral Health RN in McKinney, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The people here are top-notch, and the DON is really kind and empathetic with staff. Patients can be challenging but are for the most part manageable. Pay and benefits are about as can be expected. Not awesome, but not terrible.
Cons
There's a pretty high turnover, and some negativity, especially on the geriatric unit, which is more challenging than the rest. A lot of medical patients on the geri floor, which makes things more difficult and stressful if you're there majority of the time. Pay raises are really poor.
