I have been working at Medical Staffing Network (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have worked for MSN on and off since 2005. My local branch is in Lansing Michigan. Kristine Harris is awesome at her job. Roxanne Osborne is also good.

    Cons

They used to pay out of the local office, now it all goes through Florida. I would say in the last few years at least 20 times my pay is not there on payday. I called earlier today...made sure all my time cards are in and no problems that would affect me getting paid. It is 7:10pm and i still have not gotten paid. I have a Comdata card...it should be easy. This has happened repeatedly and im tired of it. I dont think it is too much to ask to expect to be paid on the payday. I have checked with other nurses that work other agencies and have found no one who just doesnt get paid on their payday. This is getting ridiculous.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your employees are getting paid when they are supposed to.!!!

I have been working at Medical Staffing Network full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of opportunities and contracts all over the area in a wide range of nursing opportunities . Pay is good

    Cons

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

I worked at Medical Staffing Network (More than a year)

    Pros

Great monthly bonuses (If you are a high revenue producing branch)

    Cons

Low annual salaries with no raises; This particular branch could not run correctly due to the inefficiencies of management and staff that worked under the previous manager.

    Advice to Management

Reinvest in your good employees and get rid of the ones with attitudes and consistently show no respect to others.

I worked at Medical Staffing Network full-time

    Pros

Coworkers were nice. We have to be to actually give the company it’s image.

    Cons

Everyone who is not actually doing the job (higher ups, recruiters, phone people) are all nasty. Very clicky. No compassion or understanding that junk happens sometimes and people have lives outside of work.

    Advice to Management

Have some compassion and give a care about your employees. ALL of them!

I have been working at Medical Staffing Network full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent company! Large organization with small town feel! Flexible. Reputable. Ethical. Motivating upper leadership. Excellent medical benefits. Streamlined processes in place.

    Cons

    Retirement match is minimum.

    Advice to Management

Increase retirement match - not competitive especially for single folks who want to grow with the company and place roots. Allow employees to leave early before holidays. It has been my experience through observation that it's a nice benefit that seems to motivate folks to do more rather than less before a holiday.
