I have been working at Medical Staffing Network full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing, reputable, honest company with so many opportunities to advance locally and nationally.

    Cons

As our company grows, the investment in technology and marketing material will be much appreciated.

    Advice to Management

We have such an amazing company, with many divisions to offer staffing assistance to the healthcare community, but we operate as different brands. We should stand united under one name to really foster organic growth!

I have been working at Medical Staffing Network full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company values employee appreciation and quality of life. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, but you can clearly see that people are working hard to produce results and drive revenue. I personally have been granted opportunities for growth and development, and continue to learn new things about this business on a daily basis. I am looking forward to a long career with this company.

    Cons

Need a more competitive pay structure for internal employees, as compared to similar companies within the market.

    Advice to Management

Maintain employee engagement and excitment with information sessions on our different brands and departments, presidents club and other fun employee activities, and monetary incentives.

I have been working at Medical Staffing Network full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I have worked with the company for over 8 years, moving from a field staff position into an in office position. Throughout my employment I have been supported, appreciated, valued and encouraged. My supervisors know the names of my kids and spouse and is genuinely interested in my life at work and outside it. With MSN, I was able to travel to a new country for the first time in my adult life for a company wide recognition award. We are a group of diverse, unique and engaged people. Showing up for work feels like coming home because the moral is great

    Cons

With the ever changing world of technology, I sometimes feel a step behind trying to be up to date with new apps, programs and websites rolled out

    Advice to Management

Keep up the positive attitude, inclusion of branches and field staff

I have been working at Medical Staffing Network full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great set up for teamwork, streamlined expectations, constructive criticism, promotes out of the box thinking, open door management.

    Cons

Expect a lot of extra time to be expected of you to work without compensation. Strong personalities are babied instead of confronted by management.

    Advice to Management

Be a boss, not a friend. Have realistic expectations of workloads versus pay. If it doesn't pay to put in the extra time, most people aren't willing to break their backs to get it done. If extra compensation or flex time is provided, people would be more willing and lenient to work after hours and weekends.

I have been working at Medical Staffing Network full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Dedicated leadership, competitive bonus structure, fantastic internal employee incentives (presidents club), solid communication.

    Cons

Yearly group trainings for branch managers, staffing coordinators, recruiters that are off site could provide a more cohesive work force.

    Advice to Management

Don't just listen to your employees suggestions, act on them. The good news is that I feel this is in the process of being the norm rather than the exception.

I have been working at Medical Staffing Network full-time

    Pros

Good sense of community within the company. Some leadership is very enthusiastic which can be contagious and projects positivity company wide.

    Cons

The company seems too eager to grow too fast, and if feels like there is not enough consideration given to the impact that that growth has on its current employers (both in-house employees and field employees). It sometimes feels like the ultimate goal is to just hit the Billion Dollar number.
