I worked at Medical Staffing Network full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I can't think of one! I was able to negotiate my starting pay. There are no pros, I'm writing only to meet the minimum requirements.

    Cons

I started in the beginning of the month however I wasn't scheduled to get trained until 23 days later. The branch has really low numbers and I can't imagine how they were ever above water. The system
They use is an extremely antiquated system. Healthcare staffing is already in the bowels of recruitment and this place is at the very bottom.

    Advice to Management

Be honest and upfront with internal employees rather than offering false information as you would an outside employee. There should be more of a focus on working rather than chatting about frivolous things.

I have been working at Medical Staffing Network part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have no good reasons to work here right now.

    Cons

It took 3 weeks to get started. I was told i would be put in hospitals to get hospital experience because thats what i stated that i wanted when i applied, and they sent me toa nursing home, it was horrible. I called my recruiter and told her it was horrible there and i did not want to go back, she wasnt concerned at all, dodnt even ask what happened, or say sorry, all she said was "ok" she said she would look for soewhere else for me to go, and then never called me back.

    Pros

Pay weekly, continuous training, make your own schedule, work when you want

    Cons

Company made errors on paycheck quite frequently, also they seemed to care more about their big hospital clients than the nurses that worked for them. Also there was a lot of confusion within the management such that one person would tell you one thing and another person would contradict it or say something different.

    Advice to Management

Focus on your employees because they are what bring your revenues in.

I worked at Medical Staffing Network full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pro: I could not name one for you. Besides they gave me the motivation to start my own company and make 6 figures.

    Cons

Paid a Bonus not Commission off of a group effort and if you even hit your goal that the company changes on you from month to month you are only looking at around 200-400 dollars a month more.

    Advice to Management

Advice for management... Tear everything down and restart. The amount of legality issues your organization has is very risky and the under trained employees are going to pay for managements mistakes eventually.

I worked at Medical Staffing Network part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Variety in patients and work places. Which was really nice. The lady who did the schedule in the Erie,PA office was very nice. But the other were not very nice to you at all.

    Cons

I didn't like working there. I never got paid on time like I was supposed to which REALLY ANNOYED me. Especially because I have seven children to provide for. When I got paid daily. It hurt me to send my kids to bed hungry two day in a row. And school was not in session so we did not eat for two days STRAIGHT because of a payroll error. It hurt my heart. Not being able to feed my kids.

    Advice to Management

    Do better
