I worked at Medifast full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I actually really liked the program itself

    Cons

    Twin rivers needs better management

    Advice to Management

Needs new management. Don't hire someone and tell them what other employee (still there) they will be replacing. Very unprofessional especially when they will be training the new hire.

    I worked at Medifast full-time

    Pros

Paid holiday, friendly co-workers in some locations.

    Cons

Two faced managers that lie to get ahead. High staff turnover and understaffed. Some employees have had to work shifts alone. Constant miscommunication from ownership and managers, unattainable goals, stress to reach unrealistic goals. This company does not market and expects you to find the business for them but they do not tell you that in the interview

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better and then you might not have as much turn around. You should not make people feel like they are lucky to have a job, that is not motivating or inspiring. If you had some Morals you might be more successful

    I worked at Medifast full-time

    Pros

I would say that there were none.

    Cons

If you enjoy working every Saturday, not getting a full two days off (EVER), and unrealistic sales goals then this place is for you!

I worked at Medifast full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Coworkers were friendly
    Relaxed environment
    Seeing people loose weight
Nothing else, I have to put something else in this section. 20 word min

    Cons

    Training!!!
    Pay
    Scamming people
No investment made into the employees, causing the business to suffer(offer better training)
    Commission is a joke

    Advice to Management

Better training. I left because the training was a joke. Did not want to waste anymore of my time. Medifast(the franchise) seems like a scam!! People are paying for weekly visits with health coaches, but we are not trained on how to coach. It was really just a sales position. Call it what it is. Loosing customers because they know it's BS

I worked at Medifast full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are no pros except for the great people that work for Medifast because they are passionate about helping and caring about people. Upper management, franchise owners and corporate do not care about their employees or customers at all.

    Cons

    Medifast Corporate was losing money on their Weight Loss Centers so they franchised the centers to random buyers who have no clue about the weight loss industry;

    Advice to Management

You are losing members, staff, money and your reputation. Think about it.

    Pros

To be expected, the relationships built with clients, 20 minutes at a time. Freedom to use your own knowledge to guide clients towards wellness outside of the Medifast program in Maintenance.

    Cons

Being stretched so thin that customer service suffers because of it. Short-staffed all the years I've worked there. Upper management absolutely in denial about what's best for the staff: No work/life balance. No two days off in a row. So short-staffed that if you want to take one day or even a couple of hours off, the team suffers for it and you feel guilty. Always, always having to cover for somebody being out sick or just out because the staff is so small. No connection between other locations, lack a culture and a sense of belonging to anything. Corporate doesn't recognize performance. Pay is dismal and there is no overtime and "full-time" is 34 hours a week. When they do hire, it's recent college grads or not even graduated so they can underpay. Creating puppymills with no truth to the "You'll grow and have a chance at management one day!!" Again, the pay is DISMAL.. RUN RUN RUN as fast as you can. It's been a sad waste of years waiting for the change that was promised and nothing came of it. Know your worth before you even sign up. If you're educated and you know nutrition and wellness and fitness, bring it somewhere else where they value you and your worth.

    Advice to Management

Read the above and get a clue before all your whippersnappers do. You'll lose all your good people.

    I worked at Medifast full-time

    Pros

Decent benefits. Reasonable compensation. Can be an OK place to work, particularly if you're passionate about the mission. Not a bad place to gain a little experience to take somewhere else.

    Cons

Big declines in revenues year over year have resulted in poor business decisions. There does not seem to be a coherent strategy for getting back on a growth track. It's uncertain whether it's endemic to the industry, but the leadership here is not top-tier. It's still a family owned and operated business, despite being public.

    Advice to Management

A little introspection would go a long way. Every company needs to assess whether the right people are on the bus, start in the C-Suite.

    Pros

Company gym. Health benefits are ok. 401 k plan. Co workers are nice but end up leaving quickly

    Cons

Get occurances that ding you constantly. Expect to have every second watched.
