I worked at Medio full-time (More than 5 years)
good location, flexible work from home policy, decent benefits, minimal beauracracy
little discipline in evaluating and maintaining strategy, lots of executive turnover, failure to understand a true product-oriented business model, failure to delegate authority, lots of hype and spin aimed at customers and employees

Good office location in Seattle. Good industry.
The Founder and the CEO were constantly at odds. This was likely the case because the board didn't have the guts to fire the founder nor did the CEO they hired to come in and clean up the mess he made. Then the new CEO made a mess of the place as well. During my time there the CEO and the Founder were constantly at odds on strategy and direction. This led the most talented engineers to leave for other opportunities, taking our IP with them.
Advice to Management
Reduce layers of management. Develop a clear separation of authority between the CEO and Founder. Instead of micro managing and complaining, hit the road and sell something.
