    Pros

Great pay with cutting edge programs for HR.

I have been working at Meggitt Polymer & Composites full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Safety guy is trying to make the place safe

    Cons

Treated like garbage, any review on here that says this place is great is a public relations tactic. There is no way anyone is happy enough to give that place 5 stars unless they are on strong antidepressants hooked up to an i.v 24 hours a day to keep u dilluted enough to believe that place is good. That or you are on street drugs, which would be likely since alot of people there are.

    Advice to Management

Please do the unselfish thing for once in your life and quit so someone with knowledge and ethics can take over and the workers can keep a job.

I have been working at Meggitt Polymer & Composites full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Once a great company called Sparta, there are few left here from that era that take pride in and understand what we make. The satisfaction of seeing these people move on to better opportunities and remaining hopeful to be out of here one day soon.

    Cons

Then Cobham now Meggitt ,the company has been driven into the ground by two former GM's that liked to hire friends and family that have no experience and no business being in the positions they hold, whom also followed suit in this detrimental hiring practice. So much so that they had no problem changing hiring criteria to get their people a position only to change it back after they were hired on. They hire cheap inexperienced floor staff that could care less about what they're making and are there just to collect a paycheck. Extremely corrupt, unknowledgeable, top heavy management branch that has no problem walking all over you on a daily basis. There is little money for raises or bonuses because it has been wasted on no value staff. An Engineering department that is a joke "directed" by a person that has little to no engineering experience and is full of green fresh out of college Mech. Engineers that do not know the first thing about composites and will claim your ideas as their own. The few good engineers they have are leaving or have left. Avoid this company that is full of empty promises at all costs. You will go nowhere, that is of course unless you're pals with management.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring all your buddies that don't know anything about aerospace composites and promote from within. You only have a few people left in the company that actually know what they're doing and you're losing them quickly one by one. Then do us all a favor and quit! If this happens we might be able to salvage this once great company.

    Pay is excellent.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

The pay is amazing and the coworkers and really determined to help make sure you understand what your job is and that your know what to do.

The main complaint would be that in summer it's really hot, and that you have a bunch of adults acting like they're in high school gossiping all the time.
