I worked at Meiko America full-time

    Pros

Good for those who want to get into logistics field. Entry level workload, friendly co-workers. Hourly wage is reasonable for an entry level person, but don't expect to get a big raise.

    Cons

    Low paid. No development space.

I worked at Meiko America full-time

    Pros

People are nice. Half are Asian.

    Cons

Every mistake you make costs from $25 to 10,000. Stressful job. Managers make it worse. They don't care how hard you work. They don't appreciate at all. All they do is put you down by mean words.

    Advice to Management

Be fair and treat employees equally.
People managers like never get busy, always get help from others who already busy. They are so arrogant. Older manager is worse. He screams and insults you in front of everyday to humiliate all the time.

    Pros

Not much overtime. Entry level work, so it is not very difficult. Some colleagues are very easy to be with.

    Cons

The environment was filthy. The cleaner only comes once a week. Very strict about working hours. Break time is fixed at 10-10:15am and 3-3:15pm. The management is bad.

I worked at Meiko America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Your fellow employees are the only pro in this otherwise toxic work place.

    Cons

Low compensation for college graduates, horrible dishonest and toxic upper management, toxic work environment, competition within different branches of the SAME company.

    Advice to Management

The entire management structure needs to be changed and new people need to be brought in.

I worked at Meiko America full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

A good place to start an entry level position as an import or export clerk since the work is done from a-z.

    Cons

Promoting is very difficult unless a manager leaves. The branch managers are from Japan so could be a language and a culture shock. Usually the branch managers do not have management skills and have a very hard time to convey their thoughts. They are not too interested in their staffs personal growth.

    Advice to Management

Try working as a team for once and begin sharing the Fiscal $$$$ (for yearly reaises) which is sent by corporate, instead of cutting everyones pay just so "YOU" could give yourselfe a raises and blow smoke on everyone else.
