    Benefits and pay were great. You learn a lot while on the job.

    Cons

    Management was terrible. You feel as though you are back in high school everyday with very immature people. They feed off of gossip and instead of doing their job, they rather talk about people behind their back all day long.

    Pros

    Excellent General Manager in terms of leadership. Located near many major trains and other forms of transportation.

    Cons

    Hard often and mostly goes unappreciated. Direct communication between middle management and general management is frowned upon or is nonexistent. Poor future planning by the department heads. Overtime is semi-mandatory and uncompensated, despite whatever terms are described in the work contract, many discrepancies between the job description and the actual job. No raises. Additional job responcibilities are added... after hiring. Non-negotiable work terms. Human resource is either unavailable or . Constant staff shuffle. Only one hotel in New York, two in the whole country. Poor, difficult communication with the head office and vice versa.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees instead of sending them back to their direct superiors. Follow-up on mediation by the HR between the department heads and their employee should be mandatory and documented.
