I have been working at Mellanox full-time

    Pros

It plays in the truly high tech space with an amazing engineering team that gets it right every time which means your job and your stock (they have an SPP) will continue to weather challenges despite the markets. Great benefits including matching 401K and good insurance plan plus a great team to work with

    Cons

Nothing as of now but will update in future as I see them

    Advice to Management

keep doing what you have been doing

I have been working at Mellanox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Tried hard but can’t really think of any Pros.

    Cons

This company is like a big body shopping firm where every man is to his own. Company lacks motivation no team spirit, very bad internal communication leads to more problems than anything else, systems and business practices are way behind most companies I worked.
Management is not connected to ground, reality and this leads to lot of confusion, frustration and miscommunication. They care mostly about themselves, and many of them are just useless, upper management receives the highest compensation while dedicated workers who consistently perform simply receive a poor raise on par with inflation. A miserable office culture, and don't expect to be rewarded for hard work.
Avoid to work here if possible. I would NOT recommend this company.

    Advice to Management

Keep true to your word when saying you will do something.
Listen to feedback from your employees .
Actually reward employees for hard work instead of just talking about it.
Don't keep poor performers around, it lowers everyone else's moral.

I have been working at Mellanox full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are really no pros.. Management is not willing to make improvements to processes and the processes in place are very repetitive and broken. There is blatant favoritism throughout the organization and the work/life balance is horrible. Benefits, 401(k) and ESPP are fair and compensation is average.

    Cons

The HR Department in the US is broken. There are no true professionals that work in HR for Mellanox US and issues are constantly delegated instead of addressed so you get the run-around on all issues because nobody knows what they are doing... That is frustrating!

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to lower level employees and lead by example in a positive way. I have never worked in a more stressful environment. Several of the employees are miserable. Understand that and make the changes!!

Hard core solid fundamental hardware development - some of the best.

    Cons

    No career plan.
When times get tough the blame starts with no clear direction.
Management disappears for weeks at a time.
Social loafing and protection going on.
Portrayal in the interview 180 degree different than reality.
Shell games with comp plan and subjective adjustments.
Lack of resources to complete the mission.
Hostile reaction to alternative ideas within meetings.

    Pros

Management makes decisions quickly, identifying opportunities and whether to pursue them. They try to lead the market through innovation not preserving turf.
The workplace is friendly, there is lots of work to do. Employees are encouraged to stretch, to learn, to advance. No one is locked in.

    Cons

If you want to push for a change in process or approach, you will need to push pretty hard.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Best company ever. Executives are tough but fair and everyone has high standards. I have experienced very little politics. Had the freedom I needed to build a great team and enjoy the international aspect of the company tremendously. Not for immature or the unfocused, this company is for A-listers.

    Cons

None so far, really enjoying the fast pace and the bleeding edge technology.
