I have been working at Mellanox full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great work/life balance promoted from the top Reasonable pay Employees empowered to do what they feel needs to be done Strong team structure CEO genuinely cares about his employees as people

    Cons

Sometimes there are some vague directives from management, but all you have to do is ask for clarification.

    Advice to Management

Keep it going. Mellanox is a special place.

I have been working at Mellanox full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great CEO, coworkers, products, stock options, insurance, and work/life balance. I work with the Mellanox Federal Team, which is a wholly owned subsidiary to Mellanox Tech.

    Cons

Salary (You get a lower salary then most companies, but you get a lot of stock to make up for it)

I have been working at Mellanox full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

There are really no pros.. Management is not willing to make improvements to processes and the processes in place are very repetitive and broken. There is blatant favoritism throughout the organization and the work/life balance is horrible. Benefits, 401(k) and ESPP are fair and compensation is average.

    Cons

The HR Department in the US is broken. There are no true professionals that work in HR for Mellanox US and issues are constantly delegated instead of addressed so you get the run-around on all issues because nobody knows what they are doing... That is frustrating!

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to lower level employees and lead by example in a positive way. I have never worked in a more stressful environment. Several of the employees are miserable. Understand that and make the changes!!

I worked at Mellanox full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

If you are looking for a company that is known for not upholding any of the following: • Family growth support • Management opportunities for women or minorities • Social activities/charities or environmental causes • Sponsorship or mentor programs • Competitive salary match Than this is the place for you! On a positive note they do have snacks in the kitchen and allow dogs to come into work with...

    Cons

While at Mellanox I interacted with a fantastic group of people. Unfortunately, most didn’t last long or were/are very unhappy. The HR team in the US is inefficient and inexperienced. Mellanox has had a track record of hiring HR directors/managers who have no knowledge or experience in U.S. Law. Mellanox has proven time and time again that they have no loyalty or appreciation for employees. Let alone people who have...

    Advice to Management

Employees are not possessions but rather human beings with feelings. When properly nurtured in a work environment, they thrive, and the company or team thrives. Management is controlling, egotistical, shows a lack of empathy, and a lack of acknowledgement or appreciation. Change this otherwise you will continue to lose great people. Do not neglect the development of the team. My manager was not a developer of...

I worked at Mellanox full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The technology is good for the HPC market and they have some bright ASIC engineers in Israel.

    Cons

Get ready to work at least 60 hours a week including nights and weekends. Management has no regard for work/life balance, you're expected to make the company as important (i.e. 'more important') than your family. If you're not Israeli you won't be treated the same, you'll always be on the outside looking in. (read the positive reviews - they're all Israeli's but the US employees...

    Advice to Management

Exec mgmt. needs to stop giving themselves excessive stock awards and recognize/reward the people in the middle that do the work. More attention needs to be given to respect cultural differences and the team in Israel (70% of the company) should recognize that not everyone views the company equally important as their 'real' family.

I worked at Mellanox full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Mellanox is a place where if you learn well on your own and learn well being thrown from fire to fire in the most chaotic way imaginable then you will learn tons. Admittedly most of the learning will come from your clients correcting you. In Mellanox the quality of the clients you work for is much larger than that of the company itself.

    Cons

Less than negative work life balance. Management is encouraged to "push" employees to their "limits". This is literally in a management guide I came across in their grossly disorganized public folders and directories. Employee burnout is at an all time maximum during my time there. The turn over makes it so trying to bring anyone into the fold is a nightmare. Middle management...

I have been working at Mellanox full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work on cutting edge technology, providing the best solution to the customers. There is strong connection to the field and the customers, the contribution and the business that your work brings is very clear. Multinational work environment. Gym on site (but rarely used due to high work pressure).

    Cons

Terrible work life balance, and very stressful environment. Not enough attention on employee development. Lunch is not covered, and the kitchenette on site is very poor.

I have been working at Mellanox full-time for more than a year

    Pros

RSUs ESPP A nice balcony on the roof

    Cons

Managers pass on stress to team members, sometimes without any good reason worked from home on weekends, on things that definitely could wait - without compensation of course No work life balance Many unexperienced employees No arrangement for lunch Pretty empty cafeteria

    Advice to Management

Less strict deadlines, less stress, don’t compromise on the product quality

    I worked at Mellanox full-time

    Pros

High salary supposedly. It's a good line for the resume. That's it.

    Cons

The salary is actually super low since they have no respect at all to work-life balance. There's nothing organized in the work methodology. Not enough feedback from the managers through the year.

    Advice to Management

    Respect you're workers
