It's a shame what's going on at M1
May 20, 2017 - Branch ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great people, lots of growth, decent benefits. There are a lot of mentorship programs opportunities to help in the community.
Cons
In the last two years there has been unprecedented turnover in branch operations. Regional managers beat you up over numbers and goals. Focus is on sales, not people. When branch management questions an initiative or says something isn't working, we are called complainers and told not to give excuses. It's more like a Wall Street boiler room than the friendly credit union it started out as and had been for sixty years. Anyone over 30 with experience and empathy is jumping ship. Branches will never have the longevity of management that members are used to; they burn everyone out. People that have been here ten years or more are getting pushed out the door by inexperienced 25 year olds who could sell a dog off a meat wagon but can't see the forest for the trees.

Great head quarter management.horrible branch managers.

The CEO and vise president were really great leaders. You meet great and positive people during training. The hiring process is fast since they have high employee turnover in their locations.
Cons
Some of the branches lacked professionalism. Tellers will bad mouth members after they walk out (racial slurs included). They discuss their account information/financial situations in a derogatory manner. Branch managers seem to not care while this is happening. (Red lion and willow street branch)

Mar 23, 2014 - Teller I in Harrisburg, PARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Pay is very good and calibrated often according to industry standards. Company is continually growing and adding jobs/positions.
Cons
Branch management could sometimes be tough to work with because of their attitude. Company did not seem to put that much value on education.

Oct 25, 2015 - Assistant Branch Manager in Mechanicsburg, PARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great company, efficient and fun to work for. Majority of staff is great, really do everything possible to attempt to meet members needs.
Cons
Pay discrepancy between assistant manager and branch manager is large, even though assistant are equally as responsible. many of the branch managersersers are over compensated and overly entitled (think the branch evolves around them).
