    Cons

No place is perfect. You can find cons anywhere. The difference is that in MH your voice is heard and within the measure and possibility, they will accommodate you, your needs and if not, they will help you in some other form.

    Pros

    Decent pay , great co-workers

    Cons

Management is old school oppressive constantly harping on things employees are doing wrong. Workload makes it impoosible to have work life balance. Inflexible

    Advice to Management

Allow more flexibility in scheduled work hours. Lighten up and appreciate your staff who works very hard. Listen to instead of criticizing your employees.

I worked at Memorial Hermann Health System as a contractor (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Each facility has it's own culture. Most of the employees are close-knit and friends outside of work. Team work is amazing at Greater Heights location.

    Cons

Numbers focused, instead of people/performance focused. You can win awards, meet or exceed expectations, have happy patients but if you are 3 minutes late for your shift, that is the focus. The Numbers! The "Occurrences". Leave little room for personal needs should they arise.

    Advice to Management

Be more people oriented. Have "one on ones" with your employees if possible so that you are aware of their life situations and work ethic. This can help you understand why your employees a re the way that they are.
