Best timings, transportation and canteen team is excellent they serve you the best food. Work life balance is great. Learning curve is high. Good salary to start off.

Promotions are very biased , annual hikes are very low, management is also biased. Exit process sucks .

I have been working at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Let's see
    1.Free food (well almost free)
    2. Good cab (good network throughout Bengalur )
3.Regular onsites ( although it's been reducing of late)
4.Free Mercedes with free fuel ( ofcourse only when one's a manager :-P) and also fly business class regularly ;-)
5.When one can boot lick, fair career growth ( directly proportional to the level of boot licking)
6.Lots of free time in many teams ( perks of having no work ;-) )
    7. Can make lots of new friends ( ever increasing head count )
    8. When one's joins as a manager, this is the company to retire (IYKWIM)
    9. First hand experience in some dirty politics and cheap tactics (atleast witness)

    Cons

    1. Not a place to be of one wants to learn ( atleast for R&D , mechanical trades), definitely not for starters and those in early stage of career .
2.No other OEM will hire you as everybody knows abt the quality of work in MBRDI ( first hand experience :-( )
    3. Largely biased managers , it's a place only for their favorites .
    4. Poor for promotion. Completely depends on how close one is to reporting manager , so with on sites ( and if you are the one who says NO , God help you )
    5. Few teams enjoy better benefits than others .
    6. No stable work culture , every manager has his own culture , it sometimes seems as if every manager is running his/her own company , a family company that is .
    7. didn't like the work and want to change team ? You're in some serious trouble .
8.There a very few good projects , and one doesn't get to work on them as one has been working on crappy projects and doesn't the required experience , and unless the person works on good project he/she never will.

    Advice to Management

Head count is not everything in a company and Managers are not everybody.
Look beyond headcount ,look beyond managers.
