      Pros

Man this internship was phenomenal. I could talk about it all day. This is not your normal internship. You will not be given busy work and won't be running for coffee. The full time employees at MBUSA really value the interns and the work that we can do. You will be put on a team and treated like a member of the team. You'll be given real work that is valuable to the company and teaches you a lot about the field you are interning in. On top of all that, the managers you will have are absolutely amazing. They are always willing to take time out of their busy day and chat with you. They will sit there and answer any questions you have, have a general conversation with you, or give you great career/life advice. The management is always willing to help you develop professionally. Also, as an intern you will have meetings to attend with other interns. During these meetings you get to go on field trips to a production plant and a dealership, speak with GMs, and learn about various functions in the corporation. These were by far my favorite part, because it got you away from your desk and enabled your learning in a different environment. Lastly, interns are assigned a group and given a project for the 10 weeks you're there. During this time you will meet with your group and facilitate meetings with other full time employees. At the end of the internship you are given an opportunity to present your project in front of upper level management. I can honestly say that this was the best internship I could have ever asked for. It was extremely rewarding and challenging. You get to work with great people and meet some amazing interns. I would highly recommend.

      Cons

The first con is the mood of the office. Currently MBUSA is in the process of moving their HQ to Atlanta, and while the majority of employees are already here, there are still a bunch in Montvale. This causes a kind of odd mood in the company. People aren't really sure what is going to happen and everyone feels a little unsettled (or at least in my department). The other con was the process of being hired. HR wasn't 100% on many details of the internship and that made it very difficult to know what to expect. They couldn't tell you what you would be doing, what department you might be in, or even how many interns they would hire.

      Pros

The people at Mercedes-Benz are some of the most genuine, caring, and dedicated people I have ever met. If there's anything the organization should pride themselves on it is the hiring process, because they have chosen great people to represent the brand.

      Cons

There really aren't any cons to working at MBUSA, maybe in some of the management roles, the control from Germany is relentless and nonnegotiable. However, if you're not in a position that works directly with the parent company, you wouldn't feel the effects.
