I have been working at Mercer CPSG Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great environment - very supportive and familial. Like a second family. Great place to start your career out of college (top-notch candidates only). Excellent benefits - matching 401k now has over 100% match. Management seems to really care about the happiness of its employees. We get lunch catered in three times a week, and there is a huge variety of snacks and drinks available for free. Since merger with Mercer, I haven't seen any changes in culture - in fact, it feels like the same company but with the backing and opportunities of a large, global company. Really, the best company I've ever worked for. The people and culture make it awesome!

    Cons

Only negative since the merger is, we used to have free health insurance and now we have to pay, but admittedly, I had NEVER had free insurance before and don't know anyone who has, so this was not a big deal. Pay is slightly below market, but in my opinion, the culture and work environment more than make up for it.

    Advice to Management

Keep focused on your employees' success. You are doing a great job growing new consultants. Please don't ever change the culture! It's what makes us great!

    Pros

You will be tasked with several responsibilities and leadership roles very early in your career that would take 5-10 years to get elsewhere.

    Cons

    Underpaid compared to market value

I have been working at Mercer CPSG Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good people, most everyone sincerely trying to do a good job. Pipeline for projects is good. Opportunity to learn is good.

    Cons

Lack of internal structure. Company focuses on ivy league graduates, which does no good for providing experienced consultants to the clients.

    Advice to Management

Should be treated as a business with potential, not encouraged to be a playground for short term graduates who feel entitled because of their graduate school and aren't interested in sticking around.

    Pros

Very flat organization that will allow you to take any opportunity that you're able to take on. Leadership does a good job of allowing strong employees to lead and supporting employees who need additional help to turn them into strong employees.

    Cons

Managing multiple projects can be difficult to juggle and CPSG will allow you take on as much as you are willing to say yes to causing employees to be overloaded if they don't balance work properly.

    Advice to Management

Keep allowing top level people to perform. Increase communication across teams.

    Pros

The culture is absolutely incredible at CPSG. So many bright, young people who are incredibly supportive of one another. I can't imagine a better place to grow! CPSG is ever growing and reaching higher, and I'm really excited to be a part of it. Super flexible hours (as long as you're getting your work done and being effective for clients, you're golden). Unlimited PTO- you just get approved by your project manager. Perfect balance of work and fun with an awesome salary that definitely doesn't hurt.

    Cons

Waves of a lot of work to not as much to do (which can be nice for some but stressful to others).Overall, they've gotten better at handling people's workloads though! A lot of people willing to step in and take work for people.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work! The way you treat us really does affect our performance and encourages us to perform for y'all.

    Pros

The best thing about CPSG Partners is the incredible company culture. Every person in this company genuinely wants success for one another. Management is always open to growth and hearing new ideas, the office atmosphere is fun and never boring, and it is a great place for people right out of college or looking to expand their professional horizons. The main thing to focus on is trying to soak up the information you hear, everyone has different areas they are talented in so I recommend finding the people whose talent issues are different than yours and learn from them!

    Cons

This is a rapidly growing company so everyone is expected to work hard and pull their weight, but it is worth it! Workday is a little bit challenging to learn but becomes easier with each use.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the fun events! They create bonds between employees that make for successful working teams. Also, creating more interaction between the two main offices (Dallas and Houston) would be beneficial for working on projects.
