    None

I worked at Mercer full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great location
    Smart co-workers
    Lots of free food

    Cons

    Small offices and open-seating
The culture requires a lot of conformity.

    Advice to Management

I think National/International Mercer are focused on equity and inclusion for all employees. The Phoenix office prefers white males.

I worked at Mercer full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People, flexibility and Location. Beautiful building in the Lenox area of Atlanta. Great co-workers. When I say co-workers, I mean those that did what I did and understood the challenge that we faced. And. Some flexibility to work remotely at times.

    Cons

Everything else. Management was toxic and very demeaning. When you asked questions then you were looked upon as either incompetent or a troublemaker.
There was absolutely NO TRAINING. Yet, we were thrown to the dogs on day one without any clue of their inter workings.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue. Stop lying. Stop lying about transparency and start living by it. Also, pay attention to the talent you have and actually make sure they are in the correct roles(s). Lastly, get some leaders that actually know how to lead because currently it's a comic book...And I mean D.C. not Marvel.

I have been working at Mercer full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits are decent, but going downhill. They are slowly taking them away. No more pensions, etc. Many people are able to work from home.

    Cons

Layoffs like clockwork every year--outsourcing everything to India. They are getting rid of lifelong employees and replacing them with contractors; there is no employee loyalty.

    Advice to Management

The bottom line should not always be the most important goal; employees should be your most valued resources, but you are losing sight of that.

    Pros

Mercer offers competitive pay and a great benefits package. The office is huge and there are good resources for admins both in the office and available through corporate.

    Cons

The management often asks the different Lines of business to do events and competitions, however, they don't realize that the Admins really do all the work for all of them. Also, if you get on a bad team, it's very difficult to move within the company. Admins are not promoted from within, regardless of what they tell you.

I have been working at Mercer full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Health insurance is a decent price

    Cons

    Where do I begin?
-filing a lawsuit against current employee due to harassment/emotional damage over the last 4 months. HR doesn't take complaints seriously
-They care 100% about the client and 0 about growing the individual
-I thought the first startup company I worked for had a high turnover until I began working at Mercer
-the Culture is terrible, everyone's heads are glued to the computer and the social skills don't exist
-if your family is depending on you to feed them then there is no other reason to work here

    Cons

Can be hard to grow and navigate broader Mercer. Not much career flexibility as different teams are scattered throughout the country.
