      Pros

The benefits and management seem to be trying so hard to make Mercer a better place. They want feedback and is constantly trying to make improvements. If you work hard and put yourself out there, you can move up and get so much from Mercer and the staff, I can tell you from personal experience it is worth it.

      Cons

When you work in Customer Service its always going to be high stress, with some long hours and even longer calls when you work 3rd shift.

Competition to work as many hours as possible for low wages.

      Pros

Very intelligent hard working management team and development team. Management skills training was available to boost management skills, however, due to extensive work hours required, there was little opportunity to give the training the time merited to gain the benefits of the training. Vacation time was fair, with the exception of rarely being able to utilize the time. Vacation time was either lost, or when taken, required some remote work. Frequently worked on vacation as much, or even more than a normal (long) work day. Health benefits package was good (medical, dental and vision), though required employee contributions. Company had great values statements and very good ethical practices to protect client interest.

      Cons

Analyst varied in quality. Some were excellent (the level of management), however some were difficult, and worked the system to avoid actual work. Office culture allowed analyst to slack off. In some aspects, felt like a 'Union Shop'. Culture to succeed encouraged smart workers to work extremely long hours over many projects, in order to be considered for promotion and raises. Very low pay for the work hours required. Very bad quality of life, very little time for anything outside of work.
