I worked at Merchant Marine Academy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Exposure to the professional industry before graduation and a never-ending stream of scenarios conducive to growing a backbone and character.

    Cons

Justice is all but nonexistent, people who do wrong get promoted and people who get the short end of the stick in a scenario are often further punished for no reason other than being involved.
