Pros
By far the best company I’ve worked for! I’ve been in small, midsize, higher Ed, and fortune 200 and MerchantE has been a great time! The people are really nice across all departments. We have hybrid working arrangements. The kitchen is fully stocked with snacks and bevs. Unlimited PTO And good work-life balance

The dental plan could use some attention - coverage gets 2/5 stars

Pros
The office is amazing, with standing desks for every employee, gourmet coffee options, pantry full of snacks and drinks. There are 2 monitors on every desk and every conference room is equipped as a Zoom room. It's wired for productivity! My co-workers are great and they really view us as a team. We are doing a hybrid model where most people are coming in 1-2 days a week, but remote work is completely supported as well. Pay is very competitive and benefits are outstanding. We just got a lifestyle benefit added that provides a reimbursement of up to $500 a year for anything related to health and well-being. Insurance is very good, too.
Cons
The company is large and it's difficult with the working style to get to know people outside of your department.

Pros
What makes this company so great is that leadership and management actually listen to advice from all levels. And if you have a question about anything, your coworkers are glad to help in any way possible. Work load is very dependent on your department, and the credit card industry is complex so be ready to learn. It is a fast-paced and nimble environment with lots of change, but I observe you are able to maintain a work-life balance if you can manage your time. Really feels like friends and family here (and not the family hanging over your head type nonsense). Health benefits are amazing this year and you can tell the company cares about its employees. Mental health and physical health are included! While many companies had to raise health benefit costs for 2022, MerchantE has given us MORE access to health resources without raising our premiums. I truly appreciate this. Pair that with competitive compensation, time off, and a beautiful office space, this is a great place to be.
Cons
Not a con, but I hope MerchantE continues to offer remote and in-office flexibility post-COVID. So far, it seems like they will continue a hybrid environment and it may depend on your department if you can be called fully remote or be called into the office 2-3x a week. The office has remained open throughout COVID with safety measures in place which is a plus.

Pros
Great products and people. The right size for a company. Unlike other large acquirers that are bogged down with bureaucracy...MerchantE can be very nimble in the payments space.

Pros
The recruiting, on boarding and training was as good as I have experienced!
Cons
The only downside is not really a downside if you are a self starter. Some of the departmental material is 'hidden' in file folders but with a few minutes of research you can get what you need to be successful.
