    Pros

MSD will build your ability to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.

I have been working at Merck full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent salary, some development courses offered, but limited tp perm staff.

    Cons

Treat contractors badly. Make you work very hard with impossible deadlines on projects. Had to spend my own time to achieve goals. difficult to move from a contrator to perm.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your staff more, both contractors and perms

I have been working at Merck full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good company package. Health insurance, maternity package, good car options for field representatives and option to include dental and life insurance coverage for family at a small monthly cost

    Cons

Too many "brown-nosers" getting ahead. Too much internal politics. I guess most sales environments are like that. Hard work should be adequately compensated.

    Advice to Management

There should be some improvement in middle management people skills

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Fun place to work, good salary and good car scheme

    Cons

No hope of promotion, managers brought in from outside. Employees treated like mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed sh*t.

    Advice to Management

Be much more transparent, listen to the employees more about where they want to progress to in their careers.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

good location. final salary pension like in the NHS< but may go now after the merger/ take over.

    Cons

hypocritical senior management. poor work life balance. not a great salary and culture. poor bonuses compared to USA and no stock options.

    Advice to Management

I think it is difficult as the senior management is likely to change after the merger with Merck. Listen lore.

I worked at Merck (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Korte lijnen, informele sfeer. Prima locatie en faciliteiten.

    Cons

Salaris groei mogelijkheden beperkt door CAO. Dat is ook de reden van vertrek geweest.
