Pros
A company that puts employees and their families first and always looking for new ways to improve. Great benefits and many other small extras.
Cons
It would be great if all managers were on the same page with employees; some need to hold employees more accountable.

Pros
Started with this company a few years back and anyone and everything was positive, not anymore! Seemed like the CEO has a goal to make everyone's live very hard.
Cons
The CEO cursed at his employees and treated them with no respect, he listened to gossip rather that fact and accused his employees of certain things without having proof. Employees lived in fear of losing their job on weekly if not daily basis due to the threats he's constantly making.

Pros
executive team is focused not only on company growth but also creating a great place for employees to work and pursue career opportunities
Cons
as with any growing company, the aggressive pace can become an issue if you do not stop and take a breath.
Thank you for this great feedback. We encourage our employees to enhance their skills and knowledge and hope that it will lead to not only mastery of their current jobs but also, promotions or even new positions. This growth will impact our entire organization. We hope that as your time at Mercury continues, you will take advantage of our engaging activities as well. Whether it is a cookout, car show or pregame football party, we all like a good “breather” , each one of our locations may have fun a little different but they all know how to party!

Mercury leadership and family
Apr 13, 2020 - Senior Principal Program Manager in Andover, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Mercury is more like a large extended family then a job. They have always provided plenty of growth opportunities through training, coaching, mentoring and projects to help employees reach their career goals. The leadership team is very approachable and listens to employees for feedback on continuous improvement. They also do a great job transparently communicating to the organization. I have worked at Mercury for over 20 years. Great place to work!!!
Cons
I really don't have any cons to list

Mercury Taking care of its Emploees
Apr 9, 2020 - Lead Engineering Technician in Phoenix, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
During this Pandemic the company really stepped up and is taking care of all its employees. A relief fund has been set up to help employees and there families weather this storm. Even with Covid-19 ongoing Mercury Systems is still hiring!!
Cons
Have not found any down side yet.

They set a high bar for themselves
Aug 31, 2017 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great CEO, COO, and CFO; I wish they could be replicated throughout the company. Or have eyes and ears everywhere to see what happens behind closed doors.
Cons
Mercury sets a pretty high bar for the company and a high bar for its employees. I'm judging the company with the same high standard. - As others have pointed out, you rolled out a culture and value statement but don't enforce it. There's a C&V gap between individual contributors and the CEO/COO/CFO (others not named intentionally). There's a pool of C&V misfits at the VP level who can get away with anything because of their title. I've been insulted, degraded, and humiliated by a few of them more times than any human being deserves. I've also had the experience (more than once) of comforting a crying employee after a public humiliation session where the employee did nothing wrong - an action wasn't communicated beforehand and a VP blew up at an employee for not having psychic powers and coming prepared to a meeting to address that particular action. When I bring these types of issues up, I'm told 'get over it and just do my job'. On glassdoor, you would think there's an open door policy with no retaliation / punishment for reporting. That's not the case - potential employees interviewing with Mercury, beware. There's Mercury you see on the outside (great image) and a separate Mercury operating on the inside that's much less employee friendly - if you are exposed to the C&V misfits. I will add the disclaimer that if you're not exposed to the C&V misfits, it would be a great experience!!! - I'm not going to add much to the HR and IT comments others have noted on glassdoor, except to say that the recent criticism is accurate. - Mercury doesn't care about you as an employee as they go about their business. If you get steam rolled during their one of their initiatives, you're just a casualty on a piece of paper. As long as the end objective is achieved on time and on budget, that's all that matters. People don't matter.

We are grateful for all feedback. Positive or negative, we are listening. Thank you for taking the time to share this information with us. We are working to help people feel comfortable with communicating honestly and openly either through management or HR. We are on a journey and our goal is to put mechanisms in place that encourage more two-way dialogue. As an example, we have an “ask” feature on the 1M – a tab on the right-hand side of the site where you can submit questions or comments about anything and choose to be anonymous or leave your name for a direct response. Please also feel free to come and talk with me directly or any of us on the leadership team, as we are looking for ways to improve this situation and we need input from employees. We are compiling the feedback that we’ve received from most recent reviews and the functional leaders will be meeting with their teams to discuss further. Additionally, COO, Didier Thibaud, will gather his leadership team to discuss and address your comments and others’ specifically regarding conduct that does not align with our core values. Thank you again for sharing your perspective. -Mark, President and CEO

Well orgnanized and friendly people
Jan 25, 2017 - Anonymous Employee in Camarillo, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The company offers good salary, benefits and STOCK OPTIONS. This allows you to make more money and be more interested in helping the company grow. Management is fair and they pay attention to your concerns and try their best to come up with a solution. They don't micromanage everyday but they let your work results speak for themselves. All the employees are friendly and helpful.
Cons
Some of the processes could be improved to be more efficient in getting things done in time

Lots of Potential, Systems & Processes holding it up....
Jan 6, 2023 - Growth Operations Analyst in Andover, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-Roster has some real experts. Maybe about 15-20 through the company, but there is a core group of people that really get it -With anything at Mercury no matter good news, bad news, or neutral, these people are genuinely awesome (the hands on workers) -9/80 Work schedule coming -Feels kind of like a family
Cons
-Senior leadership focuses too much on rapid growth and external concerns, cannot catch up with the business -Processes and core systems are extremely outdated -Sr. Directors & Managers are so scrutinized on numbers and goals they neglect the management responsibilities to grow their employees and their career -I am a SME in two areas and work heavily with big players. I work as a senior level but my job responsibilities have me at entry level

A positive place to work.
Jan 26, 2017 - CAD Engineer in San Jose, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I've been with the company about 8 months through acquisition, but 20+ years total with the same group of people. The company culture is great, work environment is very positive and the people I work with are outstanding. The company actually thinks about the employees and doesn't make me feel like a number within the company. One outstanding place to work.
Cons
I know I should give some constructive criticism, but nothing comes to mind.

A Company that really cares about its employees
Apr 16, 2020 - Senior Human Resources Business Partner Manager in Hudson, NHRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I joined Mercury about a year ago and I more impressed every day with the company and its leadership. Mercury is very clear about its culture and values which are posted everywhere in Mercury’s facilities. Many company’s post their cultures and values and that’s where it ends. Mercury actually lives its culture and values and holds everyone, including management, accountable for them. Management communicates frequently and honestly to all employees and genuinely wants to hear from employees. One of the really great things about Mercury is the opportunity for employees to grow, develop, continually learn and to work with smart and caring co-workers. During the COVID-19 crisis, Mercury has really stepped up to be there for its employees – moving employees to work from home immediately at the on-set of COVID, keeping employees still at work safe, providing 3 weeks of COVID-sick time for employees, establishing a $1 million relief fund to support those employees in most need, and many other things that are too numerous to mention. I am so proud to work for a company that lives its values. I am so proud to work for Mercury
Cons
There are really no cons - Mercury is growing fast and very fast-paced. It's the right place for someone who likes that type of environment.
