I have been working at Mercy Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Mercy Health is a great organization with hardworking, honest people and a positive work environment. The Home Office is clean and modern and the open floor plans make it very easy to interact with coworkers and management. Work life balance is important here. Benefits plan is pretty good too.

    Cons

Sometimes work over 40 hours a week
After hours on call (nights and weekends)

I worked at Mercy Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Excellent Benefits
Room for growth in different fields

    Cons

Can't speak for other departments, but the department I worked in was pretty hostile and unhealthy. Because the job can be stressful at times, team work and trust is important, but was quite lacking. So unfortunate!

    Advice to Management

Ensure that management does not show favoritism with employees
Try team building exercises to help team work together
Ensure that junior staff are not being taken advantage of by senior staff
Don't reward bad behavior by ignoring it

I worked at Mercy Health full-time

    Pros

    The people were very nice.

    Cons

I was in the call room and was not my "cup of tea". Was not able to learn the front desk duties

I worked at Mercy Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Worked with some very bright people.

    Cons

Little to no work/life balance. Constantly swelling level of executive managers which change direction requiring the ability to constantly drop everything until the next manager comes in and changes direction again. Executive managers do not value talent, experience, or education. Leadership of the physician group is what will ruin everything that makes Mercy unique.

    Advice to Management

Take five minutes to get to know your employees and their contributions. There is talent and potential. Use it.

I have been working at Mercy Health full-time

    Pros

Ministry, new building, I have some friends at work

    Cons

Benefits, you have to go to mercy docs. But it’s ok for some

    Advice to Management

    Communicate. Allow work from home.

I worked at Mercy Health part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great culture. The job duties and coworkers were wonderful. I loved getting out of bed knowing I was going to a job I enjoyed. Modern facility.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the pay is well under fair market value. I left to work at a hospital that pays about $10 more per hour.

    Advice to Management

Pay a fair wage and you will have little to no turnover. I was willing to continue to drive an hour to work every day if I were paid even just a few dollars more (still under fair market value).

I have been working at Mercy Health (Less than a year)

    Pros

    You receive a pay check.

    Cons

Last managers meeting, upper management has their Admin Assistance creating fake reviews on Glassdoor to make the company look better. I was in the meeting and heard it myself

    Advice to Management

Maybe not falsify how good your company is and just treat employees like they have value instead of just saying it.
