"Not worth the time or effort. Run don't even apply for their job postings. I rated it a 5 so it would go to the top ;)."

I worked at Mercy Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the people are honest and friendly to work with under management. Go above management and well you get why it's one star.

    Cons

The employees are forced to stick to or live the "organizational values" while management and higher can lie, cheat, deviate or make things up with HR on their side.

    Advice to Management

Find out the truth before you wrongfully terminate someone and do a real full investigation. Very sad my lawyer said there are over 300+ wrongful termination suits against Mercy right now and their about to merge with Bon Secour one of the most ethical catholic companies in the US.. wow!

I have been working at Mercy Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

My co-workers are awesome. We help eachother get time off by switching our schedule or working for eachother frequently.

    Cons

Severely understaffed for well over a year. had huge turnover in last year. Changes in lots of upper management. Many working 60 hour weeks at times.

    Advice to Management

All I feel I hear about are the numbers, and cost controls and meetings upon meetings and new initiatives that you expect us to just buy into. It's a mom profit organization but we keep seeing new buildings popping up all over and not much more on our paycheck, and now we acrue less PTO. Thank God I love what I do,taking care of patients. You all seem scatter brained,or over worked or too many meetings or maybe just too many of you in levels of power that are not working well in harmony. Unfortunately several people are getting burned out and looking elsewhere.

    Cons

Insurance, short staffed, unqualified management, lack of direction, rules apply when it benefits the department

I have been working at Mercy Health full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Benefits, location and immediate team

    Cons

Resources, training, workload and work/life balance

    Advice to Management

Listen, tune in and care. Saying "go home" then asking about the work the next morning is disingenuous . Culture and values means absolutely nothing if you do not allow time to practice them. Asking employees to sprint through a marathon is unreasonable. Lean and mean can yield burnout and turnover.

I have been working at Mercy Health part-time

    Pros

They have overtime in a lot of departments

    Cons

They could care less if an employee stays or goes.. I watched an employee of 20+ years get fed up and quit! They didn't bat an eye!

    Advice to Management

If you actually care about the employee's like you do the company, it wouldn't be such a revolving door.
