Access Care Manager
I’m a Manager of an understaffed scheduling department for a clinic. Instead of staffing the department properly I am getting pressured to do the work of my staff. I’m all for assisting with escalated calls and helping my staff through workflow issues. The impression I’m getting however is I’m being expected to take the same amount of calls as my agents which is not in my job description. How would you respond to this kind of pressure?
I am looking into moving to the Tampa Florida area. I have been a phlebotomist for 4 years I work in an outpatient lab setting. We draw blood, process samples, and perform EKG’s but I have worked the hospital floors along with Er as well. I am very good with drawing pediatrics and recently even went to the Mayo Clinic to get more training in pediatric draws. I am curious how much phlebotomist make in this area and if there are any areas I can work at that handle more pediatric patients.
My name is Jennifer Cleaver an I was wondering if anyone is hire a surgical tech in Bakersfield tht they wld like to train to there liking? I went to school for it an have my diploma for it. I just need some experience. Termite2500@ iCloud.com is my email. Thank you Jennifer

Empowering Agile ShopAug 12, 2014 - Software Developer in Chesterfield, MORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness Outlook
Mercy matches some 401k contributions and makes additional 401k contibutions based on tenure, which is very nice. They have clear job descriptions and advancement paths. They have a great work life balance: flex hours and work from home. The custom software department is an Agile shop, so it respects the time of the developer. The coworkers are very empowered to change things for the better.
PTO, holiday, and sick leave are all in the same bucket. The medical benefits weren't up to par with my last job and have gradually been decreasing in beneftit. There is however a lack of vision from management; coworkers seem to be the major driving force of bettering the custom software department.Continue reading

Insurance Call CenterSep 4, 2013 - Provider Relations Representative in Chesterfield, MORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness Outlook
M-F with limited overtime. Health/ Dental/ Vision/ 401K benefits from day 1 Comprehensive, progressive training Clean work areas Generally knowledgeable and helpful co-workers All calls are recorded and a percentage are reviewed for quality control
High call volumes. Scripted phone introductions. Some policies change multiple times during the course of a year. Some SOB and GMA do not offer clear benefit information which can make quoting benefits a difficult task. Periodic hiring and promotion freezes.

Benefit package is excellent and reasonably priced. 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, pto, extended sick time, short and long term disability.
Inflexible scheduling, inexperienced management, culture of entitlement, uneasy tension between administrative and clinical coworkers. Low pay.Continue reading

Patient care techJul 22, 2015 - CNA, Patient Care Tech in Saint Louis, MORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness Outlook
Great employees to work with, over time pay is great, and you only are required to work 3 12 hour shifts a week.
The benefits are awful and the health insurance is so expensive it makes you not want to use it. They give you what is called PTO days and those are your sick days, your holidays and your vacation days so they go fast if your not careful.

Mercy is a fantastic place to work. You're surrounded by talented, friendly and dedicated people. From folks to take care of the floors, nurses on all of the floors and people who manage and work within varied other apartments. I've felt welcome from the beginning. I truly enjoy my job. The challenges and the comradery are reward enough. The pay is good especially since I'm aware that making money in health care is difficult. Benefits are amazing. The biggest benefit though is that you feel like part of an amazing team of caring folks!
As with all health care, some folks feel like they're underpaid, understaffed and over worked. I'm giving work/life balance 4 stars, not for me, but because I'm aware that some folks feel overworked. That may be the case in health care no matter how hard we try. But that is with any organization,Continue reading
