Empowering Agile Shop
Aug 12, 2014 - Software Developer in Chesterfield, MORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Mercy matches some 401k contributions and makes additional 401k contibutions based on tenure, which is very nice. They have clear job descriptions and advancement paths. They have a great work life balance: flex hours and work from home. The custom software department is an Agile shop, so it respects the time of the developer. The coworkers are very empowered to change things for the better.
Cons
PTO, holiday, and sick leave are all in the same bucket. The medical benefits weren't up to par with my last job and have gradually been decreasing in beneftit. There is however a lack of vision from management; coworkers seem to be the major driving force of bettering the custom software department.

Patient care tech
Jul 22, 2015 - CNA, Patient Care Tech in Saint Louis, MORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great employees to work with, over time pay is great, and you only are required to work 3 12 hour shifts a week.
Cons
The benefits are awful and the health insurance is so expensive it makes you not want to use it. They give you what is called PTO days and those are your sick days, your holidays and your vacation days so they go fast if your not careful.

60 Days
Aug 12, 2022 - Patient Experience Ambassador in Ardmore, OKRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Mercy is a fantastic place to work. You're surrounded by talented, friendly and dedicated people. From folks to take care of the floors, nurses on all of the floors and people who manage and work within varied other apartments. I've felt welcome from the beginning. I truly enjoy my job. The challenges and the comradery are reward enough. The pay is good especially since I'm aware that making money in health care is difficult. Benefits are amazing. The biggest benefit though is that you feel like part of an amazing team of caring folks!
Cons
As with all health care, some folks feel like they're underpaid, understaffed and over worked. I'm giving work/life balance 4 stars, not for me, but because I'm aware that some folks feel overworked. That may be the case in health care no matter how hard we try. But that is with any organization,
