RecommendsNegative OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Mercyhealth full-time for more than 10 years
Pros
The health system is very in tune with nurses and there have been many times we received increases in compensation over the past few years out of the blue.
Cons
The health system has had to downsize recently due to Covid-19 and decreases in patient volume which means less money coming in of course. This is why I had to rate lower for career opportunities. With less services there is less need for staff and less need for higher levels too. I believe that the CEO is having to decrease some services because he is trying to keep our hospitals afloat. I certainly don't have the inside scoop on this but it is what I believe. I had to rate the business outlook low because of decreasing services/money. I do believe that in a year or two the health system will be doing much better, but I don't see that happening 6 months from now.
