    Pros

I get to find a new job where they hopefully have advancement opportunities.

    Cons

They hoard information from everyone and secretly make deals behind your back. I have no level of trust in management or any one in the global leadership team.

    Advice to Management

Keep your resume' up to date because you don't know anything about running a business and I won't be surprised to see the Equal brand go under within a year.

I worked at Merisant Worldwide full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people I worked with were great. They were smart, educated and trying to do the right thing. Many relationships are still in tact due to the respect we had for each other.

    Cons

The people at the top led by the CEO are highly dysfunctional. They create a culture of distrust. People in favor at some points - mostly because they are good soldiers and those out of favor are due to having an intelligent opinion. So the ones left standing are no longer good.

    Advice to Management

Advice to board - If you are wondering why your p&l has looked the way it is, look at CEO. Having worked at many good companies, he has been the worst example of a leader ever seen

Small office--easy to approach team members

    Cons

    Lots of turnover of staff

    Pros

I work at Merisant because I work with some great people who are passionate about the business and are just great to be around.

    Cons

Senoir leadership is not the best especially the CEO. It is a very volitale workforce and the culture isn't healthy.

I have been working at Merisant Worldwide full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay was decent for the area, but that is about it.

    Cons

Machinery being run into the ground, and they expected us to be able to keep it running; Obsolete equipment that was hard to get parts for (because the parts were no longer being made); Back-stabbing and long hours and unaccountability made me glad that this plant closed.

I worked at Merisant Worldwide full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Strong, well-known brand. Lots of distribution with broadline distributors throughout the country. The innovation of their stevia product called Pure Via was a great addition to the portfolio to offer a natural, zero calorie sweetener to consumers at a lower price than the competition.

    Cons

Because the products are made with artificial sweeteners like aspartame, sucralose and saccharine consumers are not buying the volume they used to. Studies show that consumers are moving to more natural, healthy sweeteners, sugar or no sweetener at all. Their Pure Via is a natural, zero-calorie stevia offer but their is very little distribution and it is not a top brand in the consumers eyes. The company shares continue to decline as the new owners do not believe in investing in marketing dollars or consumer awareness to grow the brand. It is a give-away item. Not a priority category.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the brands you produce and promote consumer awareness through marketing and advertising.

I have been working at Merisant Worldwide full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The job itself is not physically demanding. The stress of running multiple machines and lines while completing paper work and computer work is what gets you.

    Cons

Redundant paper and computer work. Revolving door of management. Operators are exposed to powder all shift.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your hourly employees and take their outlooks and point of views into consideration when making handbook changes.

I have been working at Merisant Worldwide full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good pay given opportunity to make changes and create new and innovative changes to processes to streamline changeovers on the machines

    Cons

Air quality is poor management not very friendly and an over abundance of changeovers every day and mulitiples on the same machines

    Advice to Management

Need to allow associates to voice their opinions on new and better ways to to run the skus on the different machines
