I worked at Meritor full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A lot of development opportunities and training; focus on results with clear goals. Team building and family events. Fair pay and because of the size of the company, you can learn about different areas and processes.

    Cons

A lot of politics and personal interests in management. If you don't give quick results you are gone; they change and move people all the time and it creates fear in employees . Because they have so much turnover , they promote unprepared people to management positions.

    Advice to Management

Don't fire people, develop them and give them the tools to succeed. Value the employees you have with recognition

    Pros

    Cons

Organization driven by external motivation. People want to do a job to get ahead, not to help the team or customers.

    I worked at Meritor full-time

    Pros

The benefits were good and compensation was above average. While the facility was open it was a decent job that did not have mandatory overtime.

    Cons

The facility closed so that was a major con. It wasn't the greatest place to work. Very dirty and the building was old. The organization rarely put money into fixing facility needs.

    Advice to Management

They managed by being bullies. A lot of yelling, screaming, and leading by dictatorship. The moral on the floor could have been much higher had this type of management not been the way of life there.
