    I worked at Merlin Entertainments

    Pros

Great perks- Merlin pass allows you to have 20 free tickets to any UK attraction. Good staff environment made some good friends with the peers there.

    Cons

Senior management were very arrogant and couldn't care less about the welfare of the operational staff. There was a dog eat dog culture amongst lower teir managers looking to work their way up the ladder, resulting in apathy towards anyone else.

I worked at Merlin Entertainments full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Free tickets - probably the only highlight of working for the company as a whole. Being outside was nice sometimes

    Cons

Awful management, all the staff members are teenagers, food is terrible and they treat employees like a number rather than a person. Quick to hire new people then palm them off when season has ended - when permanent contracts had been agreed. Countless occasions where employees had been left on food/drink units for hours without even a toilet break!

I worked at Merlin Entertainments full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    * Free tickets to attractions * The most friendly and fun young colleagues you'll ever have

    Cons

    * Seems to take over your life with very little money to show for it. * Very little opportunity to move up and managers have favourites. It's a bonding experience though.

I worked at Merlin Entertainments part-time

    Pros

Friendly colleagues, if you stay there long enough you will be offered free tickets to Merlin attractions, not that they are my thing personally.

    Cons

    - Takes complete advantage of students who are willing to work long hours, the minimum level of breaks given. - Demotivational managers who impost arbitrary rules which leave staff demotivated. - General Chaos in the departments

    I worked at Merlin Entertainments

    Pros

Great social atmosphere amongst staff Free tickets Fun working environment

    Cons

Staffing levels need to reflect visitor numbers so occasionally you weren't needed for shifts The managers tend to have fewer qualifications than the seasonal staff
