    Pros

Fair chance at moving up. Relaxed culture. Minimal to none office politics. Exposure to several lines of business within ML and BOFA

    Cons

Compliance issues are plentiful being owned by a bank of course. Technology is outdated and leadership lacks vision when it comes to innovation.

I worked at Merrill Lynch full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Collaborative group of people I was fortunate to work with. Helpful. No egos! Collaboration was the norm for us. Highly intelligent group of coworkers.

    Cons

Like most equity research positions, long hours which is expected. Sometimes felt swamped and expectations were sometimes unreasonable. Again, this is what life is like for the vast majority in this position in any Wall Street firm.

    Advice to Management

Less 12-13 hour days, which (sometimes) felt like the norm.
