Pros
I worked in the IT department, however have extensive experience working with many other departments, regions, and project sites during my time at Messer. I would have stayed here for a very, very long time had I not been given an amazing opportunity to return to school. This is the most innovative, challenging, and rewarding place I have ever worked. As employee owners, everyone takes great pride and ownership of their work. Supervisors care about you as a person, and so do your colleagues. The work/life balance is very good! Messer is large enough to make a difference but remembers to still see each employee as an individual. Organizationally, Messer isn't afraid to invest in its employees to grow talent from within. Messer continues to strengthen the communities in which it builds, and there is a big emphasis on volunteer and community involvement. Whatever your role at Messer, the projects you will be involved with will help to improve lives and communities. This company has already done big things, and has even bigger things in store for the future.
Cons
There is no such thing as the perfect job. Messer has all the normal frustrations and challenges found at any other organization in the world. The difference is, at Messer there is a huge level of care in the work, with supervisors and colleagues all looking out for each other.
