I worked at MetLife Home Loans, a division of MetLife Bank, N.A. (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very nice facility, open seating for a more collaborative (neighborhood) atmosphere, amenities and location are great, fun atmosphere with interest groups that includes all demographics

    Cons

Project management structure is not standardized or defined. The key to success is to join the right group and report to a capable manager. There are some that are horrible. Very political.

    Advice to Management

Hire people who are "people" managers as well as project, program, and portfolio managers. It's not enough to work on paper if you cannot manage a group of people who will endorse you as a great leader.

I worked at MetLife Home Loans, a division of MetLife Bank, N.A. (More than 3 years)

    Pros

MetLife is a great place to work. Excellent onboarding, knowledge adjustment time, team structures, management structures. Feel good about yourself getting the work done within timeframes.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the Bank and Home Loans division shut down last year, but if you are considering any position with MetLife you would be wise to take an offer.

    Advice to Management

Please check the Dental benefits policies. I had one that was covered by UnitedHealthcare and certificate to prove it but you sent me notice that I was not covered at the time.

    Pros

MetLife Home Loans was such a great place to work. MetLife offered so many great opportunities, great benefits, and the people were amazing.

    Cons

We had built such a great team, and then came the announcement that they were "closing the doors." It left so much great talent flat footed.
