    Pros

pay is fairly good, quarterly bonuses are nice, benefits are good(but expensive)

    Cons

they go thru general managers like disposable diapers! the deductible for the benefits can be high if you want a less expensive cost. amazing how some of the employees stay there with their behavior.

    Pros

Good roll forming machinery, many good people

    Cons

Ownership not honest with with employees about exactly how the bonus plan and the 401k plan work. A great deal of turnover. As an executive do not work there without an employment agreement

    Advice to Management

    Change

    Pros

Your co workers, wonderful people work there
Long term employees are what made the company what it is. However, not appreciated by the new Management.

    Cons

Persident and Owners are being snowed as to the real state of affairs at branches.
Employees are treated as incompetent. The more tenure you have, the worse you are treated. GenX RVPs turn into a totally different person when speaking to Owners and Prez. We have another Spencer Malcolm situation!!!

    Advice to Management

Somehow find a way to review your RVP staff. C. Mackin, you're smart enough to see the BS you are being fed. Take the time!

    Pros

I really do like this company and the people I got to work with.

    Cons

Upper management changes so frequently that it can be extremely difficult to stay within the current management system. I answered to 5 different superiors ove a 3.5 year period.

    Advice to Management

Ownership should find the management team they want and get out of the way and let them do what they are hired to do.

I have been working at Metal Sales Manufacturing full-time

    Pros

There are no upsides to working for this company.

    Cons

The company continues to lose market share and they do not know why. They use management styles that have never been appropriate but were tolerated decades ago. Locally the GM speaks to you in a degrading manner. Uses obscenities and vulgar language to get her message across. Creates a sexually hostile environment by making sexually comparative remarks. Vents to her subordinate using vile, disgusting remarks all while threatening to do harm to her boss. Brings her pet to work and allows the pet to defecate on the shop floor. Corporate provides no support. Require employees to install equipment on our personal vehicles to learn an E-log system. The company has no written processes or procedures. The have an antiquated system that sill utilizes a multi-part form to perform all business transactions. In short this company is a train wreck.

    Advice to Management

Sale your company to someone or some organization that will run it properly. You have failed your father's dream, passion and life's work.

They give you many resources to be successful. Opportunities to grow within. Lots of longevity from high achievers. Very fair company

    Cons

They are Limited by size in some aspects. There seems to be a lot of external hiring. This industry is becoming extremely competitive.

I worked at Metal Sales Manufacturing full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I used to work there until late last year. I was there just over 3 year. It seemed to be getting better and from my friends I still speak to, it still is. A new president seems to be actually running things now. The gm was newer but seemed to care. Some people get upset at the changes happening but that's just their attitude. Weekends off are nice.

    Cons

Overtime is needed some time of the year. Slow in others but I guess that just work. Had to switch shifts because of time off.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. It seems to be going in the right direction.
