I worked at Method Studios full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are some talented and professional artists working there.

    Cons

I produced the worst product of my career with the worst lead I've ever had.
Working on VR and having CG supervisors absolutely clueless as to how to produce interactive content may not be so bad if they actually listened to the people they hired who do. But no, they are know it all's, in fear of losing their status as the studio alphas.
Working in the game industry I found my leads and teammates to be supportive and collaborative, this environment was the opposite, competitive and ready to throw you under a bus if they will personally benefit from it. (no matter what it does to the project)
Not surprising its run by ex Digital Domain people, they successfully ran that studio into the ground too.

    Advice to Management

Either hire experienced interactive producers and directors to run your interactive projects or get out of the business.

I worked at Method Studios full-time

    Pros

Working with 'hands down' some of the best CG talent in the industry. Very well laid out pipeline, with heavy emphasis on overall structure. Well oiled machine.

    Cons

Bit of a corporate vibe, can be overwhelmingly at certain points.

    Advice to Management

Create more social events both inside and outside of company walls.

I worked at Method Studios full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice roof deck, free breakfast, talented teams, fun Christmas and Halloween parties. Pretty much all the surface level things to keep people working somewhere while you're treating them poorly.

    Cons

    - Terrible upper management
    - No respect for production staff or artists
    - Low pay
    - No work/life balance. No respect to staff when asking to work weekends/late nights
    - They close the office during Christmas and don't pay employees - so you either have to lose a week + of pay or take a week of vacation. This is disgusting! And makes any salary you agree to you in a contract a lie. To take money away from staff during the holidays is despicable.

    Advice to Management

Stop getting wrapped up in gossip and office politics and take a look at how you're treating your employees.

    Pros

    - People are really nice and talented.
    - Projects are cool and fun to work on.

    Cons

Studios just don't put their employee at the first place. Promotion/pay related issues and any processes which needs to go through HR is super slow, and they kick the responsibilities around. It's really frustrated dealing with them.
