    Pros

I see no pros anymore after what they did to me

    Cons

I was hired and started working here, on my 2nd day of employment I was hit by a car and was in the hospital when I was let go by the hospital. I understood being let go for not being able to do the job they hired me for, and I was in a probation period, but when I called back when I was healed to see if I could reapply for another position the HR contact said shed check into it, and never called me back. I no longer want to work for a company that has no compassion for it's employees. I wonder how they really feel about their patients.

    Advice to Management

Not sure what I can say to management when it was Human resources who had the least amount of compassion

I worked at Methodist Hospital (KY) (Less than a year)

    Pros

The unexpected bonuses, bus pass, convent area to work.

    Cons

Do not work for this company! If your family member gets sick and you haven't been on the job for more then one year you won't qualify for FMLA if you should have to resign, which only leave's one option for you to apply for unemployment benefits. Something that Methodist will deny you for, but yet they claim to follow the "ICARE" values!

    Advice to Management

To be careful how you speak to your employees. Snapping at them, then saying "I'm sorry" just because your afraid your job may be at risk isn't sufficient! Also going home and telling your spouse your employees personal business isn't right also!

I worked at Methodist Hospital (KY) full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Employee Benefits, community access, some very nice and competent medical and nursing professionals are employed here

    Cons

Leaders are not held accountable and in turn are not reliable to hold staff accountable therefore many do not function professionally or congruently with hospital mission and policy.

    Advice to Management

Ask why the staff turnover rate is high. Directors will only tell what they want and much is fabricated. Better talk to more frontline and heed the information there. Bad apples are at the top.
