I worked at Methodist Hospital (KY) full-time

    Pros

The benefits were ok. Got to park in a ramp, was very nice in the winter. Most of the people I worked with were great!

    Cons

There is bullying that goes on there, and nothing will be done about it. It is not believed.
The people who are favorites, get what ever they want-they cannot do anything wrong

    Advice to Management

they need to learn how to be a manager, maybe take some classes. Some people who are a manager- and not manager material, and should not be one. Too much favoritism.

I have been working at Methodist Hospital (KY) full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

they do bonus hours. so if u do overtime. u get 8 dollars plus your base pay per hour. so my check was lovely..

    Cons

Methodist do not care what you are going through. They have a strict NO EXCUSE policy. My uncle died and I got wrote up for not coming in. I actually missed his wake. If I couldn't find nobody to replace me the day of his funeral. then I was going to get wrote up again. Methodist has a 6 months probation if you miss 3 days reguardless if u got a doctor excuse or not. U FIRED!!! I almost didn't make it. My daughter was in a car wreck and I left work, guess what I got wrote up again!!! I even had her hospital papers they didn't care. OH YES... most important if u resign, like I did U FORFIT your PTO.. IF u get terminated YOU FORFIT your PTO as well. Methodist is strict and don't CARE.. IF u go to work all the time without no call in then u will not have no problems

    Advice to Management

BE more caring about your employee... They want us to have empathy toward our patient but don't have no empathy toward they staff. I miss my uncle wake because of this Job!!! I will never forgive myself for that
