I worked at Methodist Hospital of Southern California full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    great people to work with

    Cons

Can't say all dept but in my and in others that I have dealt with have bad department Directors and some Supervisors are really bad. Some have been there for over 15 years and still don't know names of their employees and also, both just sit in the office all day and only come out to see what people are up to.

    Advice to Management

Get to know your employees, help them out when the dept. is short on staff or really busy then you can go back to hiding in your office. show that you do care about your employees because after all they help you keep your job.

    Pros

Great team members; like a family. Everyone is nice and really cares about patient care.

    Cons

Senior leadership is disconnected with staff; have no clue of why staff turnover is high and unhappy. Too much inequalities.

    Advice to Management

Walk the floors and ask the staff member how management can make it better for staff.
