    Pros

GREAT people to work with, the opportunity to serve a grossly under served community and have a very real impact on people's lives day to day. Decent pay and benefits.

    Cons

Micro-management, lack of advancement opportunities, lack of ongoing training and education, lack of resources overall at the bedside.

    Advice to Management

Learn to support and embrace the changes happening within nursing and help to find balance between new and more senior staff, offer some type of ongoing education and training opportunities or at the very least assistance to pursue those opportunities.

I have been working at Methodist Hospitals full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are very talented and loyal people in the organization.
The organization truly does care about the communities that it serves.
There is a very through vetting process for new hires.

    Cons

Lack of direction in regards to the Ambulatory Operations overall.
No clearly defined goals or processes in place for employees to follow when issues are identified.
No competency measures or accountability for workflows within the clinical settings.

    Advice to Management

Develop an organizational structure that clearly defines responsibilities, complete internal audits, and engage your staff who are involved in the day-to-day operations more.
