I worked at MetroPCS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you work for a corporate store you will get great benefits, awesome paid time off, 401k, cell phone service discount, and many other perks.

    Cons

Retail hours, no major holidays off, like New Years or Easter, 99.9% of the customers are a nightmare, unrealistic quotas to meet every month, even stuff you don't even get paid on.

    Advice to Management

More positive reinforcement and motivation for your front line reps, stop creating stupid rules and goals. Management needs to invest their energy to make everybody in the company on the same page (Dealers and Customer service ) so Customer doesn't get the runaround all the time, Also stop pricing all your accessories crazy high, no one wants to buy an MP branded case for $30 dollars when they can buy a better one online way cheaper.

I have been working at MetroPCS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Uncapped OT and commission (up to individual owners that is), so you can make some serious cash.

    Flexible hours

    Awesome coworkers

And if you get lucky company dinners

    Cons

Understaffed and things get repetitive after a while of working there .

    Boring days

    Long hours

Sometimes having to work by yourself from open to closing.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be to make the work environment more fun for your employees, so when it’s dead they won’t think about what they could be doing instead of being at work.

    I worked at MetroPCS full-time

    Pros

I worked in Indirect Sales Department; fast paced and complex reporting with all the latest technology to assist you. Pay and benefits were VERY good.

    Cons

Typical Corporate America politics: stay away from cliques mind your own business and do your work

    Advice to Management

Stop the performance punishment; bring lagging employess up to the standard you desire...and stop with the made up positions that no one knew about/never existed yet go directly to certain people

I have been working at MetroPCS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, Lot of room to move up within company, generous commission, transferable skill set

    Cons

Constantly changing commission, Lack of trust, Volatile employee structure, very unorganized at store level; each store is unique in its own way

    Advice to Management

Give every store the same attention. Encourage the low perfomers, and work on creating a stable work environment. Employee Appreciation should be of greater importance, let them know that you care, and that is not always just about the money.
