    Pros

Pay and benefits that is ALL ( my manager and my team)

    Cons

Where do I begin?? I have never encountered such a hostile environment. So much hate and pettiness from grown folks that are upset because they have not moved up in their positions. The older the more bitter they are it's so sad! They will monitor every move you make just so they can go run with it and hope to get you in trouble with upper mgmt... or they will taunt you to see if they can provoke you. Pure madness stay AWAYyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

    Advice to Management

Take the trash out and protect your good employees from the toxic ppl that are miserable. They need to GO.

I have been working at MetroPlus Health Plan full-time

    Pros

--CEO is open-minded to the latest thought leadership, new ways of approaching strategy, communication, and methods to improve organizational culture
--Overall, managers are self-motivated and dedicated to the work they do here and committed to improving the workplace experience for their staff
--Many employees are genuinely dedicated to serving those communities that are often forgotten or left behind (mission oriented)

    Cons

--Politics: City Hall and Parent Company make things difficult at times
--Overzealous and unreasonable Union protection of incompetent employees hurts the organizational performance and morale of higher performing employees
--Silos in communication and team mindset

    Advice to Management

--Be proactive in breaking down the silos yourself and setting an example for your staff (sometimes you have to be the one to extend your hand first)
--Have an org-first mentality (not a department or division-first mentality)

    Pros

    Great benefits (city job)
    Good Location
Great work hours. Once your day is done, you stop everything and leave.

    Cons

    Poor compensation
    Employee apathy
    Weak controls
No remote work options (like our competitors)
    Management is oblivious
Due to week cybersecurity, their own employees won't use their insurance
And those that do, have had dozens of their co-workers look at their medical claims with little to no oversight.
Let's not talk about the hackers that invade the system daily.
All while the CEO and COO pretend nothing is happening.
    Run, don't walk

    Pros

Culture of learning and improving, members and employees satisfaction are always a priority on the Leadership Agenda. You can meet with the CEO every month as he has set up an entire hour to be in a conference room waiting to meet and hear any employee that wants to pass by, he even have his assistant taking notes and following up with requests

    Cons

Location commute is very difficult and since it is a city institution there is not work from home option
