    employee benefits, overall friendly staff, good salary.

    The Claims team specifically are in a complete mess. The team is too small for the excessive workload, so there is a continuous and accruing backlog of work at all times. No training provided, there is a clique style interaction in the team so a new comer is bound to feel excluded. More importantly, if you go off sick you are treated terribly. I had sick notes and was pretty much ambushed and felt like I had to leave. I was interrogated by management and made to call my GP in front of them and put it on loud speaker, I was called stupid for not being able to get an appointment and management spoke about me being absent in front of the whole team. All of this together made me feel like there was such a prejudice against me because I was off sick that I left. I put in a complaint with HR about how my absence from sickness was handled and was advised that because I had already left they would deal with it under a modified grievance procedure. Although HR was visibly shocked at what I was telling them they concluded that management weren't in the wrong and that under the modified grievance procedure I wouldn't be allowed to appeal the decision. What was the point in having a meeting if anything whatever they said was going to be final? Even HR turned out to be a joke in the end.
