I have been working at Metroline

    Pros

Good rate of pay, regularly take in excess of 34k gross per year with some overtime

    Cons

Management not really supportive, more customer orientated, always quick to make an assumptions that an employee is at fault should there be a despute between an employee and the member of the public. picking on silly things at the earliest opportunity. Unfriendly atmosphere at the garage.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Metroline full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Is a competent company well positioned within the transport industry and good garage locations throughout the capital. Good rates of pay and fair treatment for members of staff as well as free travel on all Transport for London services. Private pension schemes and life insurance is all in too.

    Cons

Lack of professional and up to date maintenance of the aging vehicles within the fleet of operating buses in service. Management can very harsh and strict when it comes to loss of mileage through mechanical breakdowns even though is not blameworthy. High rate of unnecessary disciplinary actions taken against drivers on various grounds including personal ones. Unwillingness and reluctance to see things through. Canteen openings hours are limited and Sundays is closed.
