    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Metropolitan Industries full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Family owned company with more flexibility than a big corporation.

    Cons

Management does not know how to prioritize. They keep people who don't contribute while the good workers get frustrated and leave. If you are not in the "click", you might as well move on.

    Advice to Management

Make the necessary changes that would make the most positive impact first, but talk to those directly involved before coming to a decision. Reward the hard workers.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Metropolitan Industries full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Interesting projects. Company has been around 50+ years.

    Cons

No room for advancement. Poor pay for whats expected. Relatives/Friends who do not work hard are kept on while hard working employees are let go for cut backs. No communication between departments and suggestions/issues/problems fall on deaf ears

    Advice to Management

Do whats best for your business and quit worrying about pissing off a friend/relative. Your losing talented people over lazy ones.
