I worked at Metropolitan Property Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Close knit office, good environment, great management, hands-on training, lots of rental connections and listings throughout Manhattan. Overall a great company for beginners or experienced agents that are looking to work on Manhattan rentals. FYI- If you know what you are doing in the sales market, you will be provided with the support and material to do so.

    Cons

Expected to work from the office, no part-time options, not the most presentable office space for clientele, constantly monitored - but its a good thing for newer agents that need the push and help.

Same cons as any commission based position

I have been working at Metropolitan Property Group (More than a year)

    Pros

very helpful to new agents, give out leads, have great connections with landlords, no desk fees, fair commission splits.
MPG wants to see you succeed and pushes you to work hard. What you put in is what you'll get out. The harder you work the more money you'll make. MPG has all the tools for you to succeed.
One of the best brokerages to work for in the NYC rental market.

    Cons

They hire just about anyone. Turnover rate is very high, although that is common in the real estate industry.
Rental market becomes repetitive, not much room to grow.

    Advice to Management

Become more strict in the hiring process. Hire those who are only serious about real estate and will give the office more energy, not just take up space.

    Pros

Friendly, driven staff with great mid-level training for new hires. Office space centrally located to serve the target market for brokers and agents alike.

    Cons

Some coworkers were less than honest and they don't seem overtly loyal to the company

    Advice to Management

Be more hands-on in training with continuous updates regarding sales techniques
