Its just a job
May 17, 2023 - Associate Project Manager in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Stable, work 7.5 hours a day. Good Benefit
Cons
No one care your thought, people are just part of the system.
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
If you work hard, this is a good place for you. However, it does not guarantee getting higher level jobs--those go to political appointees. Which is a shame, considering an appointee does not necessarily merit their position. Working in transportation however, is a noble cause.
Cons
Currently there are many leftover political appointees from the Cuomo days. They are not experienced in transportation.

Accept only as a last resort option
Mar 31, 2023 - Manager in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Benefits, holiday, PTO, health, dental insurance.
Cons
Worst job for non-union employees The slow rate of promotion. You'll work with many people who have only one job. Positive performance reviews mean nothing; negative ones will be used to fire you or prevent you from receiving cola.

Pros
Benefits are good but were better. Flexibility in working shifts.
Cons
Should be able to evaluate your boss too. Compensate to affect current climate. Bring back the merit increases. Increase and make steady (every January) the COLA at 3%
