    Pros

Pay very well for student internships, everyone is very nice and approachable overall.

    Cons

It can be a pretty boring place to work if you are in your young 20s. Everyone has worked there for 20-30 years and things happen very slowly.

    Pros

great place to work. Lots of experienced people at this company. Work culture is getting better. Management really cares about workforce. Good mix of private and public atmosphere.

    Cons

Occasionally there is some bureaucracy, but this is more of a fault with the industry than with Met. There is a lot of unnecessary back and forth with other stakeholders (Caltrans, County, etc) who still tend to have issues improving interactions with external agencies.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up good work

Most people there don't care enough to work very hard.

Make it more about the work and less about the 401k.

I worked at Metropolitan Water District of Southern California full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits and networking opportunities with many different clubs including toastmasters to attend. Excellent retirement benefits. The management I worked under was terrific.

    Cons

Cafeteria is too far away. Other than that I have no other complaints. They were a wonderful company to work for. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good job.

    Advice to Management

Work on hiring practices, especially speeding up the process for the time between job posting and actual hiring. It took over 6 months to get hired after the job was posted. This needs improvement.
