I worked at Mi Pueblo Foods full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I had the best boss that anyone could ask for!! Not only was he a mentor but he answered any question I had and helped me learn everything I didn't know or understand. If it weren't for him I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable or confident in my abilities.

I loved the family aspect of this company. I guess it could be in the nature of the people but I always felt welcomed from the first day I started. The CEO and management team were very personable and loved to know the people who worked in the office and stores. The experience of working here is priceless. I got to meet many people with various backgrounds and made many wonderful memories. For such a busy job there were many moments of laughter that made the workplace more than just a job. I definitely miss it.

    Cons

A smaller company so the job was always busy but this led for more room for growth and learn more. But it also limited your opportunity for advancement. The most unfortunate part was that there weren't many paid holidays.

    Advice to Management

Keep on appreciating your employees. Employees work for their boss not the company. Company parties and events were amazing! I would've appreciated more though. I was able to see more faces and meet everyone in the office through this.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Mi Pueblo Foods full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Discount on food in grocery store.

    Cons

Started the job with great optimism but was shuddered by the lack of communication. Department heads don't get along with one another and use their team against other department teams. Everyone is always looking out for their best interest.

    Advice to Management

Hire the best to get the best results. Promoting within required lots of training, give the training or hire outside the organization.

    Pros

Lots of opportunities for upward movement of you are willing to put in the time and effort. Young Fast growing company

    Cons

If you are not 100% dedicated it's hard to get anywhere, and some of the people working there like any other job are always trying to make you look bad to make themselves look better

    Advice to Management

Don't just believe your inner circle on their word. I know a lot of people that got drug under the bus due to other people, when they did nothing wrong.

    Pros

You get to work with great people. It was a great experience thanks to the people that I worked with.

    Cons

Upper Management doesn't really care as much as they say about employees. Everyone in Management looks after themselves only. I worked there a long time ago. Maybe that has change.

    Advice to Management

Need to focus more on your employees. Less perks to upper management and better pay to employees working in the stores.
