Pros
Professional umpiring is a fun job if you have a passion for it. You get to travel throughout the country.
Cons
Low pay and you are only paid during the season. The chance of becoming a major league umpire is small as there are limited positions and most current MLB umpires keep their jobs for 20-30 years.
- Former Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros

Cons
Low pay On your feet for the whole game (subjective) Full time employees seem to look down on you
